The heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system play a critical role in the retrofit of a building.<\/strong><\/p>\n As the need for cooling in buildings grows and the climate change we are now experiencing becomes more pronounced, not all properties have an existing system that meets the needs of the occupants.<\/p>\n While investing in a new system to meet cooling requirements is a major investment, there are opportunities to improve air quality, and cooling capacity and reduce energy consumption.<\/strong> Among the various energy efficiency measures and system types, variable refrigerant flow heat pumps have experienced rapid growth in most of the retrofit landscape.<\/p>\n At Comfort Quality Services, we have the best solution when it comes to retrofit systems. Working with Daikin technology, number one in the HVAC industry, bipolar ionization systems, and support tools such as our Command Center<\/strong>, gives us a 360\u00b0 scope to ensure operational savings from the moment of implementation.<\/p>\n VRV systems perform better than traditional technologies due to the better isolation of zone air with VRV system operation versus the mixing of return air from conditioned zones with warmer air from unconditioned zones in the plenum during widely used RTU systems. Even the COP is higher for a VRV system operating at part load compared to RTU units operating at part load.<\/p>\n During the design phase, our engineering team<\/strong> focuses on analyzing current consumptions, and therefore the cooling load is calculated taking into account the maximum capacity of an installation.
